More than 900 University of Bedfordshire Business School students were congratulated on their graduation this week.
The Rt Hon John Bercow MP (pictured), Speaker of the House of Commons, promised to champion higher education as a means to improve social mobility when he took up his role as Chancellor of the University of Bedfordshire today [25 July 2014], describing going to university as “more transformative than even a lottery win”.
A graduate at this week’s ceremonies, who devised an android mobile app to help small businesses book appointments, was given a special award for his achievements at the University of Bedfordshire – during which time he also became a father.
